Sun Beam Valley Log & Timber Inc. has been in operation since 2008, and was founded by Owner Thomas Smith. Thomas brings a passion for sustainability, forestry and an appreciation for traditional wood buildings styles to Sun Beam Valley. Together, with his team of skillful craftspeople, Sun Beam Valley strives to deliver products to the satisfaction and high standards of our customers. Hard work, creativity, and dedication is put into every one of our products – whether it be a small or a large-scale project. At Sun Beam Valley our hearts and hands go into every handcrafted and uniquely designed product.
We absolutely love our log home! It was so much fun watching it come to life! Thomas was super to work with, he is very skilled with his chainsaw. Thomas and his family are amazing people, they went above and beyond all to help us make our dream home become reality! The build started in June and it stayed on schedule, we moved in by November. And I can also say it came in just under the budget! Our little log home is cozy and warm in winter and it stays cool in the summer.
We could not have gotten a better man to build our home. We 100% recommend Thomas for any log building needs!

In 2010 we retained Thomas Smith to construct a custom timber frame dwelling on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River.
